Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lucid (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Lucid is an AI-powered document processing platform that provides:
- Automated document classification
- Structured data extraction from documents
- Field-level validation rules engine
- Human-in-the-loop (HITL) review queue
- REST API for programmatic integration
Account Registration
To use the Service you must register with a valid email address and password and create or join an organization. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload documents containing illegal content
- Attempt to abuse, overload, or exploit the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to process documents on behalf of others without their consent
- Share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties
Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of the documents you upload and the data extracted from them. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of providing the Service.
Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Free tier users are not covered by any uptime SLA. Pro and Enterprise plans may include SLA terms as detailed in their respective plan descriptions.
Subscription and Billing
The Service offers multiple pricing tiers (Free, Pay As You Go, Pro, Enterprise). Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Pro subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled. Pay As You Go charges are billed monthly based on actual document usage. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Limitation of Liability
AI-powered extraction is best-effort and is not guaranteed to be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and validating extracted data before using it in business-critical workflows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
